 Drawbacks: Any job that involves placing your face near someone’s butt and telling them to fart on you will never be worth the money you’re paid for it.

 Perks: You work with a brilliant (if slightly bonkers) scientist who will give you credit in assisting him in this largely neglected field of medicine. (Of course, it’s easy to understand why it’s been neglected, but as a struggling graduate student you can’t afford to be picky.) Costs of the experiment are relatively low, especially if you clip enough supermarket coupons, though it is rather difficult to find a corporate sponsor.

I have been in the workforce for over 18 years and the last 3 years that I have been an employee of Express Data, have been the best in my career. Express Data’s philosophy is that their staff are their greatest resource and this is evident in their treatment of their employees. During this period in time, I have been able to move up within the company. I belive with building of skills and knowledge, I will continue to be able to develop and grow in the company. The package of wage and benefits is great, and Express Data are continually finding ways to improve their employees working life. About a year ago, I had an accident and had to be away from work for an extended period of time. At no point, was I made to feel that I had to rush back to work. I actually had to convince them that I was ready to. Talk about that for job security. When changes have occurred in my personal life, management at Express Data have been very supportive and allowed me to take time and change the hours that I work to ensure that I can be there for my family. Location for me is great, I drive to and from work and secured parking is never an issue.

As far as I am concerned, I have no intention of leaving nor do I ever feel the need to search the web for a new job. Where I currently am suits not only my working life but personal and family life. Hopefully, Express Data is just as pleased as me!!!

Again this is NOT my story, but it is true.

Ok well I am currently employed by this joke of a corporation. I just recently lost my job, and I thought “well I guess it’s time to start my career. So I got a call from a man who is now my District Manager and I thought this was my ticket into a great, and rewarding career in Photography. Boy was I wrong!!!!!!! Not only do I absolutely hate this job, but it has made me hate my passion, which is photography so much that I have pondered and almost been forced to sell my camera, My pride and joy. I also might add that it is now a necessity that I sell my camera to stay afloat financially, Since this company doesnt care at all about its employees, nor do they pay them the right amount of money for the ridiculous amount of work that is demanded of you. First of all, when I was hired I was trained with 4 other “Candidates” and they have all since quit and I am the only one that is still employed by this awful company. The only reason I havent quit yet is because I cant find another job at the moment. I hate this job so much that everyday I go in I want to just close the studio and go home. Everyday I also feel like I am the manager of this location because my manager is never there, so all of this studio failing buisness is on my head!?!!?!?? She is constantly telling me that the studio which is a new one might i add is failing and if I dont get “sits” in the door through “aquisition” of new customers then she will be forced to cut hours.

Three things here:
First of all: You are getting paid all of the money in the studio because you are the manager! SHe never aquistions, just acts like she is on the phone or doing paperwork, even when we have zero appointments on the books. You get your butt out there and do it if the studio is REALLY in that much trouble! Youre the manager!!!!!!!!!! I get paid a whopping $9 dollars an hour, averaging $450 every two weeks, not even enough money to get me through HALF of a week(I drive an hour round trip to work 5 days a week)……..not enough money to go in everyday and pull my managers weight!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly: this corporation does not care at all about its customers, I am disgusted by the lies in all of the meetings that I have attended where my district manager drones on about customer service and then immediately goes on to talk about how we shouldnt even know the bottom photo collections because all we should be selling are the $400 collection. well I got news for ya bub, we are located inside of a wal mart, these people come here to save money and dont have $400 to drop on these crap photos, that as a photography student I can tell you lack all creativity!!!!!!!!! And most of the people come in to buy the $7.99 advertised offer which is a hell of a deal, almost too good I dont know why you would buy anything else honestly….They don’t care about the customers at all….

Listen I could go on for days, But I think I have spoke my peace!
DO NOT work for this place if you know whats good for you!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I would have known about this website before I ever even considered picking up the phone and accepting this interview……Cant wait till I can tell my boss how I feel, leave and never come back.

Oh, how easy it is for a bad job to ruin what you once thought you loved…

Job Specifications: It looks good on paper, actually: waited on hand and foot, all the jewels you could ask for, and maids to do all the housework. But that’s until you lose it. Then you get beheaded.

Drawbacks: It’s nice being married to the most powerful man in the land… until he decides to use that power to kill you. While you walk to the chopping block, think of all the men you could’ve married and how being a baker’s wife wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

Perks: It was fun while it lasted.

All the schedule is, is a piece of paper. Nothing is digital, it’s simply posted in a calendar, on the counter in our store. Now, the higher up manager reviews our manager’s schedule each week before it is posted (usually around the Wednesday before).

There are two major problems with the scheduling:

1) The Sundays never match. On the old schedule, where Sunday is the last day of the week, and on on the new one where it is the first day of the week, the schedules are never the same. This poses a particular problem for me because I work two hours away. So, I call and get my scheduling and show up thinking I only work Saturday, maybe even make plans for Sunday, and then end up working. There is quite literally no way to plan for this, and it’s not getting better.

2) Our manager needs to be here a certain amount of hours a week, and our’s makes the schedule appear as though that’s really happening, when in actuality it’s not. District manager sees the store manager working 50 hours… thinks…wow! that’s a lot. Then, on Monday that 10-8 shift becomes 11-7…Tuesday’s shift becomes 11-6, and so on and so forth. Holy irritating.
